NSAP

I) National Social Assistance Programme(NSAP):

Under this scheme the persons belong to Below Poverty Line (BPL) category have been providing financial assistance under the sub-schemes of NSAP funded by the Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India which is as follows:-  

a).  Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme (IGNOAPS): 

The eligibility age for IGNOAPS is 60 years. The pension amounts of Rs. 200/- per month for the persons between 60 years to 79 years and for 80 yrs & above, monthly pension is Rs. 500/- pm for their economic subsistence in the Society.

b). Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS): 

Under this Scheme, a widow in the age group of 40-79 years  living under BPL gets monthly pension of  Rs. 300 per month as per revised norms for her economic subsistence in the Society. After attaining the age of 80 years, the beneficiary will get Rs. 500/- per month . 

c). Indira Gandhi National Disabled Pension Scheme (IGNDPS): 

The eligible age under this scheme is 18 to 79 years of BPL and the pension amount is Rs. 300/- per month for his/her economic subsistence in the Society. After attaining the age of 80 years, the beneficiary will get Rs. 500/- per month under IGNOAPS.

d). National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS): 

An amount of Rs. 20,000/- will be given as one-time assistance to the bereaved household in the event of the death of the breadwinner as per revised norms. The death of such a bread earner should have attained 18 years of age and less than 60 years of age. 

  1. During last Financial Year 2017-18, the Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh has enhanced the monthly pension amount of beneficiaries of the following components viz: 1. Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme, 2. Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme,3. Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme under National Social Assistance Programme(NSAP) scheme as State Assistance. The details of the Central Assistance and State Assistance are given as under:

  1. Accordingly, the State Govt. had allocated Rs.7650.00 lakh in the SADA 2017-18 against the enhanced pension amount.
  2. The allocated amount of Rs.7650.00 lakh has been sanctioned by the State Govt. during Financial Year 2017-18 and the Deptt. of Social Justice & Empowerment and Tribal Affairs is releasing the sanction amount to the District Nodal Officers for payment of pension amount to the beneficiaries through Direct Benefits Transfer(DBT) mode.
  3. To availed the above mentioned benefit the interested  eligible persons are required to submit the application with the following documents to the nearest office of the District Nodal Officer i.e Deputy Director(ICDS)/CDPO(ICDS) for verification/scrutinization and onward submission of the same to the Directorate of Social Justice & Empowerment and Tribal Affairs, Deptt. Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh.
